Thanks for the vote of confidence. Yeah, we basically do everything together. Car related and otherwise. I told her I building cars was a huge part of my life and she understaood that. We finished a 65 El Camino for a guy weeks before our wedding. That was 1990. She has stuck around.

I made a couple of other panels today. Not my best work, but we need to keep moving forawrd.

You said you've learned a couple of things along the way. Got any basic tips for any of us other would-be beginners?

First thing we learned is buy a decent machine. I bought an old Pfaff off of CL but I struggled with it for weeks. Bought a new Juki 1541 and life was grand.

Other than that, it’s just basic stuff. The more you do it, the more you improve. I kept my first attempt at a door panel for reference. I had guys give me advice on here and that was a big help.

Didn’t get a lot done this weekend. Decided to take the 35 out since it was 80 on Saturday.
Did finish the kick panel though. One side down….

 

Looking good! Can’t wait to see it back on the road.
