You know - if you knew of the situation back then, & actually knew how much the OP's ride (positively)affected me, & maybe others, you'd not make crass judging comments. Notice I did *not* do a detail dump. & am hoping OP actually got his ride rebuilt, + I genuinely wanted to know what happened to him since. So piss off.

My observation was not crass, maybe a little naive that’s all. I didn’t mean to pluck your chords

Definitely a killer ride. Think it looks cool just the way it is. If it makes you smile driving it that is perfection. Maybe see you on the ride somewhere.

Frank, glad to see your interest rekindled, just ignore the remarks being made by some of the folks that are too blinded by the term "traditional" to recognize that for many of us your coupe epitomized the east coast look. I'm looking forward to hearing more as you become more active again.

Y'all are nuts, the tires are the coolest part! I'd be a bit afraid to run on them hard if they're as old as they look, but that's the kind of shit you can't really replicate with new parts, I love it.

Welcome home Frank.... come on in and enjoy a cup of coffee with us. Your story and Coupe are wonderful, brings back great memories of the style, I love it.

Question: Would the Jack Klingel you mentioned would have been a NY Policeman? If so, he lives about 4 miles from me, and is one of the most hard-core hot rod guys I've ever known in my 66 years.

God Bless you and your family, and feel free to share all the pictures you can.

  29. Interesting the connection to the LISRA. Back in 1970, my buddy sent me some pictures he took in Glen Cove. On the back, this one said Franks 32 coupe, 55-324 Olds, and 4 speed hydro.
Could this be the same Frank?
Sorry about the water damage, but it was mighty wet in Nam.
