Official invite to my celebration of hamb appropriate automobiles and the crazy ****ers that enjoy this type of thing. October 6th, 7th, and 8th. Bring parts if you wanna throw some stuff out for sale, bring your beer if you wanna drink, but Friday I'll be having a fish fry that free to all of you that come, and Saturday I'll be having a pig roast for all of you, free of charge. Sunday I'm having a taco truck on sight, but you gotta pay for your tacos lol. There'll be toilets, and I think I have a shower trailer lined up, but I'll make sure on that, still a lot of time. 3 acres for cars in my immediate lot, throw up a tent, or get a hotel in Mt Sterling ky, or Morehead Ky. Let's get together and have some good ol hamb fun! I'll post any updates here, and you can ask any questions here. Hope to see everybody out! You've got 10 months to get that car done!
I've got a few acres directly behind my shop, and quite a few across the road. So there is plenty of room, and room for trailers if you wanna haul in.
Hello friends, I've been asked by a few guys about lodging in the area. Here's a link to cave run and right in the center of the main page is quite a few rustic cabin rentals around the lake, http://www.caverun.org/ ... they also have a lodge there. Mt sterling ky and morehead ky are close to me, they both have hotels. Avoid the days inn and budget inn Mt Sterling, unless you're looking for love to rent or drugs lol. Any other questions just give me a yell.

If I decide to move it to the drag strip I'll have to get that address, but it's within earshot of my place which is 4336 east highway 36, owingsville ky. But I'm leaning toward the drag strip. Better ground, shower houses, etc.. I just haven't worked out the particulars with the owner yet. He did tell me that we can use the property for free.

So it's show up Friday, test & tune that day. Saturday morning cruise? I was debating on swapping gears while there. Nope. So it's 4.56 with a spool all weekend. Yee ha!
I'd love to do a Saturday morning cruise, if there's a few that wanna do it. Thinking a poker run. It'll all be back country roads, not anything crazy, I'll look at the route I was thinking and see what it is, but I'd guess 20-25 miles. 4.56 won't be bad.
Normally the gates open at 5 on Friday, but I'm sure we'll be in there all day. Just thought I'd throw that in
its getting closer and closer. cars getting registered next Tuesday. it needs an exhaust asap. i might just bolt some tubing to the remains of the y pipe so it doesnt dump under the drivers floor. my mom will also be following me with a tow bar and her car so i'll still make it there with the car even if something catastrophic happens.
I am! Ever since I had the pleasure of meeting you in person. Three things I am excited about at the moment. Mt Airy N.C. Moonshine and Stock Car Show this coming Saturday. Lloydfest in a month and Dawsonville, Ga. Moonshine Festival a couple of weeks after Lloydfest. Getting my Moonshine '40 Ford Coupe ready for this weekend. I will be trailering to Mt Airy. At the moment I am planning on driving it to Lloydfest. Owingsville, Ky. is just over 500 miles and approximately 8 hrs, not counting stops. Looking forward to it. I'll be trailering to Dawsonville. One month to go and I have a coolant leak in my oil, fresh build, 261. Did a back off and retorque, wish me luck.
I am as well!! We have a cabin rented @ Cave Run Lodges for 4 nights, so not only can we partake in the shenanigans at Lloydfest, but do some fishing, hiking & sightseeing too! The wife is excited, I am in different parts of the country transporting all the time, but she doesn't get away from here much.
