Well, for the nay sayers I finally got my #84 in the mail box today in New Zealand, bought it 11/11/2020 at a cost in NZ dollars of $39.80. To be honest, I had given up hope of ever seeing it so bought one off the auction site which cost me again in NZ dollars, $99.61, the bigger part of the cost being shipping of course. So, I guess all is not lost ? Good luck to the guys still waiting, there could be something in your mail box yet.

I don't know why some of you are jumping with joy about receiving issue #84. That was the US autumn 2019 issue.
You should be up to issue #98, which should have been due spring 2023 in the US.
You are still 14 issues behind if you forked out for a lifetime subscription.
    Oh well, it's a start I guess............o_O

I was excited yesterday to go to my mailbox and find a white envelope from The Rodder's Journal. Finally! I opened it up and inside I found- Issue 83? One from before I subscribed. My address was also wrong, luckily the mailman caught it and put it in the right box. I have sent them a message to request an address correction, will wait to hear back. At least they know I subscribed and I exist. Any other Canadians recieve anything lately?

I walked into Autobooks a couple weeks ago and bought #85 off the shelf. Said hello to Jay Leno and went about my day.

Nothing here just the empty mailbox or the usual junk mail and bills.
No big white envelope with my missing #84 and #85.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I tried to send the message, and then it disappeared.
intended to say I recieved a package from Rodders Journal with the boxed issue of earlier
mags as well as a Mag of early articles. I am still waiting for #84 and#85, but have confidence they will show up!

    I’m glad you’re confident, I can’t say the same.
I’ve waited so long now it’s not likely to happen.

  15. I received #s 84 &85. Then we suffered a upstairs sink malfunction and the bathroom downstairs got wet....all over my shiny new magazines. Trash.

Well, there have been a few twitches.

  17. If you think about it, the term "lifetime subscription" is open to interpretation. Is it your lifetime? Steve's lifetime? The lifetime of the magazine? The lifetime of a mayfly? And I don't think anyone ever promised there would be four issues every calendar year. Considering these points, perhaps we should call every issue that arrives going forward a bonus ...

I doubt that Lifetime Subscription sales would have been as popular as they were if the promise was- "you'll get a magazine when we feel like making it, for however long we feel like doing it"

  19. Do you really believe that the demise of Rodders Journal happened on a whim of Steve's feelings.

  20. I agree, but there was also never a promise of "you'll get four magazines per year for as long as you think is appropriate." And yes, I have a lifetime subscription.

  21. When it is written right in the magazine a subscription is a "4 issue one year subscription" I think that is a promise to get 4 issues in a calendar year.

Last week I ordered stuff from the Old Car Centre and asked for a copy of #85 at the same time.
