Hoping the HAMB can help, I am building an 1/8 Scale of the Pure Hell Altered. I have a gentleman that is trying to model for 3D printing of the supercharger. If anyone has a 6-71, pics with all the basic dimensions and also the bolt pattern spacing on the sides and width would be most helpful.
We've both searched and haven't come up with the bolt pattern though. Was hoping someone had one on the shelf that would help us out.
The catalog's have the dimensions, & if you need Enderle dimensions there are for Bug threw Buzzard , & Kessler has dimensions for other Fuel Injection systems, & if you need more measurements other than what's already been posted send a message and I can take measurements There are also 1/8 scale model race parts , unless you just want to make your own
I got the body from a place called 3D scale parts. It is good quality. The chassis is 1/4" x .035" wall DOM steel tubing I have been tig welding....trying to get my practice in, LOL. The goal is a functional replica RC car. Make no mistake, this is not a cheap endeavor. Shapeways printing is grainy and rough. They print peoples files, and pay the file owners a sum. If you can find the seller directly you can usually get cleaner printed files. That blower isn't bad, it's off a bit still IMO, myself and gentleman I am working with want better though if possible. I have a 1/8 scale 392 Hemi for this build already, the blower is just off by quite a bit.
Never had Shapeways print anything. Thanks for the heads up about print quality. And thanks for the additional info about your build. Looks like an interesting project. I'm using the blower off of the Lindberg 1:8 scale model "EXTERMINATOR" 2 in 1 Dragster Kit for an engine build (picture from the web not mine). The blower doesn't look too bad but still isn't 100% correct either though. I'm also 3D printing some Chrysler HEMI heads and valve covers to convert the engine to a HEMI. However, I'm not trying for 100% authenticity so these parts will work for me. Any chance of you posting the blower print file after you create it?
@Casual 6 that looks pretty great! I have two of the Exterminator kits here....one I bought 25 years ago, and one I just bought a month ago. I have gotten with a big scale modelers group on Facebook, (Large Scale Modelers), some cool builds on there. The gentleman that runs the group is the owner of the file and is in business to sell parts so it is not shareable, but his prices are reasonable and the print quality is good. Here is the 392 I purchased from Texas 3D Customs......PM me if you want to chat more.
One might think so. But in looking around at junk cases, and then finding the ends and maybe a worn out injector hat for the top, even unusable garbage totals up to well over $1000.
