Projects 39 Merc Build

Hey thought i would post some pics of the progress on my 39 Merc, i bought it here in the UK a couple of years ago as a stocker it was a right hand drive car, imagine how many of those were made?? we are changing it to LHD! The work is being done at Flying A Speed Shop in the UK. If anyone has a spare 40 Merc Tail light housing i need one. Thanks Mark

 

Looking good so far! I will be following along as I am getting started on a 40 coupe. Curious why you are converting it to LHD?

Converting it to LHD because it doesnt seem right driving an American car unless its LHD to me.

 

Makes sense I suppose. Maybe I should convert mine to RHD just to mess with folks here in the US. I have only driven one RHD vehicle, but it sure took some getting used to just remembering which side to get in when I was driving if nothing else.

 

Well I'm not going to convert my Austin Ruby to RHD. Hard on the neck trying to turn the head around the other way to shoulder check when driving.

From a pregnant football to beautiful ,nice. Down under we cant build a car LHD . Sure you can own and drive an original LHD ,but you can’t construct a LHD car.
