But did any AA/FAs use small blocks successfully? And here I'm defining "successfully" as having competitive e.t.s, not the more generally accepted HAMB definition of "putting on a great show", regardless of how fast or straight they went.

 

I think Pure Hell did a pretty good job, in the early days.

 

Richie Guasco ran a small block, then a big block, and then a hemi in Pure Hell. Like the entire sport many things happened that had an effect on the times that they ran, mainly tire technology and clutches.

You have an impressive group of cars. I would like to see large pictures of them all. They look very well engineered and maintained.
Wouldn't you have more fun in a really short car with an unruly engine, welded rear suspension, no electronic anything, and funny smelling fuel???

 

Thank you Sky Six. A lot of my own thought goes into each one. I may not be fast, but very little of what I do is by accident.

I'm all about having fun with hot rods. But as Clint Eastwood said, "A man's gotta know his limitations." and mine come in the form of time, money and commitment.
If you or any other dear readers have such a car and are looking for a wheel man I will humbly accept that offer.
