A relaxing fun day on the farm. Sun , cars, friends , bbq, beverages . Awesome day.No rules , just get out there. Event preceded by a cool local vintage swap meet and bbq at Burnzy and Anita’s , Freedman speed shop with the smoker on and a few beverages. Its not about huge numbers, as it was invite only, its about the quality of people and cars and that was right up there for sure.
Darren is a talented local tattoo artist , preparing Anitas 35 for race day. Why “45” its in memory of Burnzys dad who very recently p***ed away The two 57 ford prefects had fun both flathead 4 bangers, the original 26 T coupe did surprisingly well . A couple of period monkey motion motors added to the days flavour. A large percentage of the pictures courtesy of Pam Hodges. Those 57 Prefects look to be in great shape. You'd be battling to find too many left here in Australia. And the B&W pics do give a great early feel to the event. Wish we had some of that green gr*** over here LOL
It was a bit slippery in the morning , the gr*** dried out by 11am . The cows will go back in there in a week or so and you will never know we were there. I asked our share farmer about using the field for drags and showed him a picture of the cars. He laughed and said it looked like a bunch of old ladies pushing prams.
The Poster is an invite to those invited. much the same as a Wedding invite, you don't publicize those for general admission. That's my Roadster Pick Up. JW
Great cars and pictures. I've got a question. The poster mentioned BBQ, so what's on the barbie, shrimp, sheep or kangaroo?
