    hello everyone!
I designed a ford 32 at home in my village of jonage (france) near LYON
    I installed a Flathead 53 4.2 Liter cargo truck with 3 stromberg 97 (3x2 progressive)
Engine runs rough and has no power
by opening a cylinder head of the flat everything was black so there is too much gasoline
    I had jets of 0.43, 0.45, 0.43.
    I ordered smaller jets of 0.38, 0.40, 0.38.
Could this be suitable for my v8 flat?
I calculated the diameter in relation to the al***ude from where I am, that is to say 500 meters
    Is the formula correct???

    here is my hot rod:

    voici mon hot rod:

Courtesy of Google Translate! The gentleman is wondering what jets to run in his 3 Stromberg 97 carb setup.

Block off the two outer carburetors and see if you can get the engine to run correctly. Then add the outer carburetors. If the outer carburetors are not sealing tightly you will never get it to run correctly.

Also check fuel pressure. The Stromberg likes no more than 3 pounds/square inch.

    From Google Translate:

    First things first:
what fuel pressure are you running?

Are you idling on all three or just the center carb.

    for the pressure?
    _I will meter 38/40/38 jets
and I stay with my old valve pump
_for idle it is with the 3 carbs

    two things first
you need to have a fuel pressure regulator to maintain two to two and a half pounds of fuel pressure
disconnect the two outer carbs from fuel and add block off plates
you need to get the engine to run on the middle carb first with a set of stock jets
this will give you a solid baseline to work from then

All right ! All right !
Maybe that's why I had too much gas!
At one point I found myself with gasoline in the engine oil!
as the tank is high in the trunk, this causes pressure, the regulator allows the cancellation of this pressure,!?
    thanks very much

    d'accord ! d'accord !
    merci bien
