I've never dealt with them. The outfit here is a bunch of brothers. I built a mustang a couple of years back and had to get some parts, so I went over there and gave them my tax number when I picked up the parts, turns out they set me up in the computer and I get a decent discount. Not like I do much mustang work, but hey, the tank made for an easy setup

  2. My first thought was the horn button on 57 pickup

But for you, maybe this is more better lol

  3. Yea I get that Lloyd. Thats cool. That business was started by a guy down the road from me when I was a kid, in his back yard. Then later was sold to a corp. I guess. The big facility they have here now continues to treat employees like shit, especially woman, and low pay. The management is completely discusting Very few people around here will even consider working there unless they are desperate. I will never buy one damn thing from them!

I've seen lots of guys cut the bed floor out of a modern truck at the junk yard and use that. Looks pretty good it you can line it up correctly.

I dug through boxes trying to find something like that, but I didn't have anything close in size. But I sat and looked at it and I think it'll look better completely gone lol.

Cardboard, huh? I thought I was good, but you've managed to make me feel "creatively challenged" :(. I would have flame cut a brand new chunk of steel into the approximate shape I wanted. After finding that it didn't work, I would have gotten out another brand new chunk . That would have gone on until I got it right or had to go buy more steel .

All I know is that the arm that was supplied with this frame before I got my hands on it didn’t fit the bill but would serve as a guide to what and where corrections needed to be within regards to pedal height on the toe board and ratio limits. Then it was off to the CNC (see & see) what I come up with > https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/let’s-redesign-a-brake-pedal-arm.1290053/

  17. I cut up that center cap this afternoon, just another option, still trying to find a 45 degree neck in the correct tube diameter to make this all work together

Welp... been sorting through the carbs and timing... found that I was still too rich and this damned thing REALLY likes it's advance. So I leaned everything out and left the timing at 42 degrees! No detonation, start's perfect hot, and runs at 185 degree's down the road. Instant throttle response, this little bastard will pull your nutz off if you don't pay attention! Went for a test drive, Wound it up to 7 grand in 1st and went for 2nd... Fuckin' clutch pedal stuck to the floor!!! Anybody that say's a Centerforce clutch doesn't stick overcenter is a lying Motherfucker!!! So now, this weekend, I'm gonna put my 2800# Long set-up back in! The Bullshit never end's, but I love it all the same!

I pulled the stock gas neck out of the wife's truck and cut it up, kept the end and threw the other piece in the trash. Now I wish I hadn't done that, because it would've worked perfect for what I need!

Did you end up keeping the Eddy carbs? The Centerforce in my 37 never stuck the pedal to the floor and I shifted at 7200 ...But I've been called worse:D Glad the 56 is running good:cool:

Great, more decision’s. Junk mechanical switch’s or junk hydraulic switch’s that’s available these day’s.
Real answer, don’t want extra plumbing.

Put a tee in the front brake line where it is somewhat accessible from under the hood. Changing those mechanical switches by myself is a royal PITA just sayin.

  25. Mine is a fuel cell, I never knew there were so many damn ones, there's 6 bolt, 12 bolt, 120 mm bolt circle, 135 mm bolt circle, 2 1/2 fill pipe diameter, 1 1/2 diameter, 1 3/4 diameter, some made out of aluminum, some say aluminum but really steel with aluminum cap (which I don't even need), some ready to ship, some won't ship for a month.
I get lost in the searches lol, just when I think I found the right one then one of the fore mentioned issues rears it's head.
    Crazy I tell ya !
