Features Kustoms blues? I need to see some kustoms....

I seen this one for sale on marketplace in Vegas for $2500, not sure if it's an "el'camino" or that rear section is attached

 

That's Bill Frye's car (he live's down here by me). He told me the story when I was in his shop one day and he had just picked it up. I'm thinking he said it's from the Tulsa area and built, like you said, out of 40-ish Lincoln parts. He remembers the car from when he was a kid and either kept track of it or found it again (I forget which) and brought it back from the dead. Got it back running and driving, but I don't think he has plans to "finish" it. I miiiight remember it never was finished....but maybe I'm making that part up.

 

Be a major project, but this thing has some real 'possibilities'! I love the oval 'Euro' headlights, those were semi-common on show cars in the '60s and almost look like they were made for this. The back half of the roof looks like maybe a '58-60 Lincoln flipped around. Rear glass would be a real challenge...

 

Kind of looks like kin to the 1956 Plymouth Plainsman concept.

can anybody tell who pin striped this car, it came from one of the Movie Car Museums, said to be Roth or VonDutch when it was there. This car was from the movie High School Confidential

Me too. Love the front bumper treatment. Never seen the car before until someone dug it up on Instagram. Even that person cant find other pics of it. You can see the front of it on the cover of Popular Hot Rodding November 1962. The lavender color was painted by Watson. And possibly might have hydros on the front.
Would love to see other pics of it. or more history on it.

 

Hopefully Sancho will come to the rescue.

 

I tried when it popped on Instagram. No luck yet, I'll continue to look.

 

If you cant find them, more pictures don't exist...
