  17. IIRC The "drifter's coupe ended up at Gene Scott's junk yard / parts yard back in the 1970's.

    Yeh, I can just hear the response when Carl asks Jimmy why its taking him so long.

    Yea, but everyone blamed the old circle tracks for destroying all the good old coupe bodies. Probably every junk yard in most every city looked like this back then. The old farmers just drug them off to the edge of the fields where the old racers found them and used them.

    The story I heard of my Dakota ancestors was the wood reinforced cars were the first to go for wood for heating.
