Pleasantville, Iowa. Just about 25 miles south east of Des Moines. Not crazy far from I 80 east/west or I 35 north/south. Renting a U-Haul car trailer does not cost a hell of a lot.
For a driver class truck there aren't many engines more reliable and trouble free than that series of Ford sixes. I had a 56 F100 long bed with one that looking back I wish I had shortened the frame on and put a short box on. The current bid looks pretty fair all the way around to me but I'm probably way out of the loop when it comes to prices around the country.
I had my 63 mercury shipped from Prince Edward Island 1400 km cost under $1000 bucks shipped in a 53 foot trailer to a warehouse locally , then $100 bucks to tow it home . I call that a deal .
Wow, just clicked on the link that showed the current bid. To be honest if it stayed in the ballpark it’s at now I’d be a “flipper”. @corncobcoupe you sir are a better man than I. Edit: I sent the link to this thread to a few guys I know. Sure wish the auction could be extended a bit for them.
The auction software will not allow an extension per Ryan. So call them up on the phone and let them know.
I’m not in the market right now, but if I were this would be it! Loved this truck since the first time I saw a pic of it
C'mon... baby needs new shoes! Hope to see the offers dramatically increase as the deadline approaches. Is that how it usually goes?
Man, curious how this ends. And, I wish I wasn’t always broke with too many projects. Good luck @corncobcoupe! Maybe I should do the same with my Buick.
Another Video has been added of the engine running / idling at the bottom of the ad. The motor idles as smooth as a babies butt
It's going on an epic road trip......45 miles to my house. Thanks Cob!!!! P.S.....don't tell my wife, she didn't even know I was thinking of bidding on it.
