Event Coverage Somerset April 2023

First Somernites cruise in Somerset, KY for 2023. Nice turnout for the weather forecast and rain yesterday.

Thanks for the peek 65pacecar, I was planning on making the trip looked at the forecast and chickened out. Joe

 

The forecast hurt the turnout yesterday for sure. August and Sept. Are the biggest months. August is Mustang and Sept featured Marque is Corvette but there is a mix of everything every month. The best month to me is May if the wesrher is nice, Mopars in May, plus a dealership show before the downtown show at the Chrysler dealer in town. Oct will feature Tri Five Chevies and usually perfect weather.

Yesterday had 701 cars plus a cool display vintage tractors. I grabbed pics of them too but not sure I can post them on here.

 

I know what you say is true. I've been going there pretty much the last 15 years or so. I have a buddy that lives near there that I can stay with. I like the drive there as much as the show all back roads of course. Thanks Joe

Thanks for posting. I'm gonna hook up the camper and take the 55 over there one month for a couple of days. Looks like a good time.

 

They are hosting a vintage camper rally in conjunction with the show in September.

 

@65pacecar I am there almost every month. That is my 52 Lincoln in one of your pictures (My 62 Dodge d100 was sitting beside it also). Feel free to stop by and say hello next time you are there.
