Started the day doing some primary inspection and testing on a OT ramp bed race car hauler that has been setting for 20 or so years. I am commissioned to get this road worthy to haul a 62 Chevy Belair sport coupe with aluminum front end and a Z11 top end strocked 409 back to Washington state.
Then lend an hand on a MBG manifold gasket replace.
And for the one I can post picture, helped a good friend get his 62 sport coupe on a body dolly and cut the rusted floor out. Man I need a beer.

Also picked up a pair of wheels I have no need for.

Belt line window fuzzies on the 56. There were none. I wonder why some cars only “kinda” get finished

I see a lot of cars on here that not only don't have fuzzies but don't even have glass. It is tempting to get them running and go play without finishing the car. I can't do it, I wish I could but I have issues. Glad to see you do too.

Guilty as charged. Chopped the top on Clarence winter of 1992/1993. Got a windshield installed (but no other glass) just in time to go to the first R&C Americruise in 1993. All of you who were there in Springfield, Missouri, know that it rained (poured by the bucketfulls) for a half hour or so just about every hour all weekend long. That's probably the closest I've ever come to drowning.

Worked on the radiator shell for my waiting in the wings '26 T touring project. Swaped out the Ford logo made in USA upper panel for a Ford logo made in Canada upper panel in honor of my wife Lynda who was born in Toronto, Ontario.

  15. She probably has a few screws loose as well, she agreed to marry me, and was once an O’Reillys assistant manager. However, she is usually the voice of reason when Little Truckdoctor and I hatch a plan!!

Over the last few days, I’ve pulled the hood, fenders, and doghouse off the front of my Chevy. Replaced the grill and surrounding trim. Reinstalled. Spent a bunch of time getting the hood and doghouse alignment right.

While everything was out of the way, pressure washed the front suspension and frame that’s usually hidden. Got a couple decades of gunk off.

Greased the front end. Found a torn tie rod boot, so ordered replacements. Probably install those on Saturday.

Now that the Vette is up and running I have refocused on my 57 mostly because Scotty keeps bustin my balls about it:p Honestly its my first car so I really need to get it done , pretty much just needs the interior to be finished. Tomorrow I am installing a hopped up 200 six I built for a coworker into his 63 Falcon wagon. Lloyd really wanted one for his pink mustang convertible but I was scared it might be too much power for him to handle:D

I’m trying to get the blown BBC running right that I built last week. It seems to run fine mechanically, but has some fancy electronic stuff on it that I am not good at working on. No pressure though...just have about 300 customers that it has to run for next Tuesday.

Got it figured out but seems like hot rods shouldn’t have sensors and fancy valves and such...
