Technical What is this hole for? SBC 350

    Hi guys. Am completing a 350 swap for a beat 283 in my inherited t bucket. Just noticed these holes on the block as I ****on up the new block. Looking at The 283 it had them as well left open.

    just wondering what would go here. ***uming it’s ok to leave as is as the original was as well, but just in case wanted to check.

    Where spark plug metal wire loom bolts to block.

    I believe that was where the factory plug wire loom was mounted

    Yuppers for when you correctly route the wires down and under the ram horns rather up and out and over.

    Those engines sure look a whole lot better with the wires routed that way instead of out over the valve covers.

    Yeah the top hole is for a bent over tang so it doesn’t rotate and the lower is threaded for the threw bolt

    Drew a pic since the diagram above is pretty small if you don’t know what you’re looking for. I recently used them to route wires under my ram horns.
