    It's cool! Those widely spaced relatively short scallops are reminiscent of the Granville brothers' 1932 Gee Bee sport plane.

    Nothing to do with the scallops, but could that be the coupe that was later given a hot rod rake, red paint, VonDutch striping, and still is seen occasionally?

  7. I'm guessing those headlights are 40 Chevy, that was a common custom touch.

    I remember the car from the little books. I love the wing tip bumpers, skirts, spots, mild chop, molded rear fenders, and more! Just a super 36!

    This car was built about the same time frame, I think. What's special is that I got custody in 1984!
    The owner built the car, including the chop and leaded in trunk. He chose 40 Chevrolet headlights as well and the scallops look alot like the car Ryan featured. I wonder if the design on this car was influenced by that same car in Hop Up?
