Inland Seas Maritime Museum (touringohio.com) Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald The museum is loaded with everything associated with Great Lakes shipping, but several items are of particular interest. In one section of the museum are actual artifacts recovered from the Edmund Fitzgerald, which was perhaps one of the best known shipwrecks in recent years. Included in this exhibit is the sounding board and a life preserver from the Edmund Fitzgerald that washed ashore after the wreck.
