I had a '67 conv. , then a '72 coupe and a '63 coupe. Somewhere in the '80's I had a '60 project to sell to make a few bucks. And now working on a buddy's '57 with a 327 solid lifter engine. DO I qualify? And I too hate the C naming, solid or straight axle, mid year, and other.

  8. Mine is the last year of a hamb friendly Vette. Its registered as a 65 but is built from more than one car. It has a lot of 66 stuff on it. But I don't care, I am not a purist. Had it 40 years this year. My first Vette was a 58, then had a 59, Then this one, after this one I had a 72 and a 73. Can't stop buying them. Sure wish I had kept the 59...

Haha, you're saying that to Mark. The dude has more cars and related stuff inside his house than most people have furniture!
I'd love to buy the black '57 that pops up in the classifieds lately. Better, vintage wheels and have at it. Money tree not full enough for that one...

I have used that size on a bunch of my straight
Axle and mid year Corvettes. It seems to fit the
    Wheel wells nicely.

Cut and polish some grooves in the shape of tightly clenched fingers into it!

  18. I've had mine since June 1972. First picture the day I bought it. Need to get back on it and finish the re-do.

I only have an OT 75. But it is a 4 speed with a real live 300hp 327 out of a 65 vette!

Here's my 65. I've owned it 25 years. Known about it for 55 years. Bone stock. I love it!

The only "older" one I have is the same year and also a 4-speed roadster with a small block that I built. I'm actually trying to do a little work on it so I can get it sold and put the money toward my Merc. If it were an on-topic vette, I wouldn't likely be selling it. :D

I know guys on the HAMB don’t like stock Corvette’s much but don’t let it being stock with wide whites fool you this 56 was my dad’s daily delivery vehicle for starters alternators and generators for 25 years. He ran it into the ground and I brought it back, and I also run it hard and have fun with it. 20130518_152659_Original.jpeg 20130518_165612_Original.jpeg Resized952019092195113347955271.jpeg Resized952019092195113419955961.jpeg Drag4.jpeg

From the time I was a kid in the 60’s, I always wanted a solid lifter , silver blue ,’64 coupe. First saw this one, languishing in a barn in 1976, seven layers of paint on it; with pigeon crap all over it. Finally talked the guy into selling it to me in 1984. Stripped paint for a year and got her back in shape by 1986. She had 77,000 miles on her, now just about to turn 100,000. About 4000 miles on overhaul of her original RE code 327/365. Still love wailing on the Muncie. First pic is fresh paint in 1986, then more current shots : AD076C6B-329D-44AA-A41C-0B00D55E7E41.jpeg 7F846E9F-E9A0-48F6-964E-2EB016C563B6.jpeg B9E44C86-326A-4777-8393-124422A64EDE.jpeg 2A6840CD-5BED-44DF-A8F1-48C28FF81111.jpeg 4E093158-A60C-4521-A5FD-F6F616133667.jpeg FA31A3FC-0E5E-4D19-AEDD-197F0C163500.jpeg DE584C16-CC99-4152-A686-99317762A31A.jpeg 2BCF2638-7C81-4889-B98B-3435F605F69B.jpeg

Yes, it is. I had rear springs rebuilt and they haven't had much weight on them yet so they should settle alot once its driven.

  27. Have you guys been following Rob Ida and the 63 they are building ?
It's pretty crazy on all the things they've done but it all looks so subtle, chopped, laid back, windows reshaped, quarters raised etc etc

  28. A lot of guys space the trans crossmember down 1” i did mine. You have to watch fan clearance if you do tho.

  29. I’ve wanted a mid year coupe since i got a ride in my uncles when i was a little kid. Prices have gone up faster than my wages have so i doubt i’ll ever have one. I have low standards so I can’t entirely give up:D
