  1. Looks like a candidate for the "Race Of Lemmons" I'd say!

Been cleaning up this nonsense. Why do people use bathroom sealant and then paint over dirt? (Not just specks, I'm talking a good ¼" deep dirt).

Slowly getting somewhere. The other side is worse.

Wife watched the tables and let me do a quick lap at the swap meet last weekend. I found these caps and was going to switch the red to black and use on another project, but I think they have found a home on the roadster build.

Still working on that O/T 70 AAR cuda. LOL

  9. I thought about cutting fins out of something and having them welded in but if the weld wasn't beautiful like you see every once in awhile on the interweb then it'd probably look like crap too ha.
I'm really thinking hard about removing the fins and putting yellow plexiglass back in.

I have been wandering around in this mess working on the wagon today. Not quite as impressive as your stash Swade, but I keep collecting. 5E296C58-7A0C-44D1-985F-FDCA6F9FA621.jpeg E2F01669-D55E-4E05-8A46-B6E341518C29.jpeg 9BE8F3B6-A7ED-4E5A-B125-747948DDE403.jpeg E85E8F3A-2C66-4485-B29A-D9D714024FCA.jpeg E86D53EB-3857-40C9-BA03-F501A946C460.jpeg

  14. Currently? 40 chevy coupe and a 78 HD.

  15. I wear blue Jean shorts with NB tennis shoes, does that mean I’m destined to own a Corvette?

  16. Ha ha ha ha

My kids are in for a surprise !

  17. You may already own one

  18. I spent the afternoon figuring out breather location,
    Low

    20230514_154005.jpg

    High

    20230514_153904.jpg
    20230514_154225.jpg

If low you got to think about the 1/4-20 mounting bolt hole and getting a socket on it

    20230514_155845.jpg

If I use socket head cap screw I can get the breather up higher on the flat

    20230514_160305.jpg

But I still would need to block a 1/4 of the breather hole that goes out over the fins

If I move it up and mill the fins then I can just barely sneak it in under the pcv grommet knockout

    20230514_162030.jpg

But can I get an oil fill cap to fit next to the breather ?, just barely

    20230514_162343.jpg 20230514_162403.jpg

I could put a smaller diameter domed breather to pickup some room, nope that looks like shit lol

    20230514_162701.jpg

So after all of that I have a solid plan of where I want them, but really didn't get much done lol

  19. This again, FINALLY

  20. I measured my chrome CalCustoms and the scoop but that's a no go, I need roughly 14x3 section and that gets it up into the pcv grommet knockout.
Thank you though for the offer.

  21. Tman, that’s a great looking GMC! The background in the picture reminds me of US 212 between Nisland and Belle Fourche. What are your plans for that fine GMC?

  22. Since that pic it got rolled into the shop, the kid grew to 6 feet tall and I collected a 9", 283/T350 (both rebuilt) and an Industrial Chassis, now Phoenix Street Rods front end from @ELpolacko . Keeping the flatbed. 10" 56 chevy steelies in the rear, 5" in front. Undecided on a chop. New wife need a horse trailer hauler and it will be a daily for me.

I like the breather placement like on the cal customs valve covers you posted.

Orange metalflake flames with lime pinstripes. The SS breather is powder coated and the lettering is done in the lime paint.
