Looks really great Mark. I think the red in the coves really sets it off as well.

I didn't really feel it with just the white lines on the red. But, when he added the red on white it felt like it all came together. Just a touch more red on the roof to bring that in would do it for me.

    Fixed it for ya! :D

I was kinda the same way. I liked the striping but it didn't really jump out until that red was laid down on the white coves. Now, when that white top gets done....

I don't feel like I'm a "hater" and wasn't trying to put it down for what you chose to do with your Vette. I don't like all customs or hot rods and was simply expressing my feelings about it. If that bothers you that much I'll try to remember to not say anything about an of your cars, which includes many great ones that I love!

Mark, I think you know where I stand on this! It's so killer.

Running the lines tight on the panel gaps and body lines is awesome. Using the red lining takes it to the next level, too.

Man.... I cannot wait to get my car in paint, now!

Pardon me for not knowing terminology but you can tell the striper &/or @Moriarity understand restraint by not going around the chrome accents and stopping the lines where they did.

When we spoke last you mentioned you were doing this. I immediately conjured up some ideas in my head that I thought would look cool but this surpassed my mental photoshop.

And I’m going to borrow your idea and use call custom tape to stripe my truck so I can get the visual. Put too many on? Peel some off. Easy peasy.

Do you have an NCRS sticker on your wing window? If not add one.

Well, I don't like them either. those pin stripe's or haters. Maybe I don't get customs as well? Not everyone gets stuff, see's the vision in your head, so does that make them all haters?

Why I don't care for it or feel it inhances the cars appearance, is it remind me of a Car Craft effort to spruce up an old car or recall it back into a fresher popularity in a late 60 early 70's fad make over.

If the thing that's custom is the fact they were done with a brush not a tape roll, then it doesn't say all that much about it being custom in my opinion.
Different maybe, but I'm not seeing custom. That's not hating either, cause I like the vette.
Hating would be saying that's the whitest car crafty trashy thing you could have done to a vette.

And none of us are saying that. thinking it maybe but not saying it. Just saying maybe we don't think it inhances the beauty of that car al all.

But it is a differing opinion. Then again, who's drinking Bud these days, cause that ad was custom and look at the fan fare it received... nah...that was hating. Ah, serious hate that was...in my opinion it was, lol... Maybe pin strips would have help it be acceptable? lol. Ok...not funny.

What i'd like is to hear every one say why they like it as much as they do?

Cause it's sexy? WTF is sexy about that? Ruby painted up her lips and rolled and curled her tinted hair? I'm not seeing it.

Cool...it used to be a bitchen ride and now it's cool. Sounds like a down grade.

This falls right in there with the mental health stuff doesn't it. Anyone think to ask, who in their right mind would do that to what most would say is, was, a very fine automobile?

But no matter, ours is not to question just accept. That's cause authority always wins. And he who owns the car has the authority an can do with it what he custom well likes even if the rest don't like what he's done.

As far as it goes, not that I probably haven't said to much already, but... just because you could doesn't mean you should have, and there are toooo many here who will say yes to you rather then risk upsetting you is my final opinion to offer. If you had said to the group this is what I'm thinking of doing to this sweet old vette I'm sure the vote would have been against doing so. Again, my opinion.

I have nothing against you, the car or pin stripe's in general. I'm not a hater. But then again, it's over done to a point of not custom ... just plain tacky.

I really like the pinstripes. There's just one thing I don't like, the red stripe in the cove, on either side of the front edge of the doors, the stripes have a radius at the top corner, but a square corner at the bottom. I don't know why, but that bothers me.

Well the best way I know to put it is self expression, it's called doing what you want to the shit that belongs to you, and not giving a fuck what people, like you, say about it. I think I covered it pretty good. And if he asked me what my opinion was prior to striping it, I would say absolutely. Some of you guys just troll around on here looking for something to throw negativity at. I think misery loves company. Do something to your car and post pictures, give the rest of us the same opportunity that you take.
