Customs Panel striping on my Corvette

I like my cars kinda on the tacky side.
I wonder if the folks upset over a pinstripe calls young folks “snowflakes”

 

I'll admit, I was skeptical at first. But when I saw it outdoors, in full, I like it a lot! It's not overdone in any way.

 

Wouldn't it be fascinating to photoshop a singular automobile that would please all the HAMB members? One car with no haters. Of course, in the end after years of input, alteration, voting and re-working, it would probably end up being a bone stock 32 ford.

I have owned a lot of vettes, I am not a NCRS/Bloomington Gold/Duntov award guy but I never had the 'stones that @Moriarity has shown having fun modifying with his C1.

 

I repaired a vette that the owner informed me how rare his car was. It was 1 of only 2 green with white interior vettes produced that day.

You want it stock? A blank canvas is stock. I have been to a lot of museums, and never seen a crowd gathered, taking selfies with a blank canvas, no how pretty the frame.

To me it’s the way the whole car flows. From whatever catches your eye first, probably the pin stripes or the tail lights. Then to the next item, be it the paint, the interior, the grab bar, the shift knob, the floor mats. It’s of a piece. Custom seems appropriate.

Then you lift the hood, and tell me that Corvette isn’t a hot rod with a straight face.

 

Anybody can restore a corvette but it takes a real man to cut one up ( at least modify it)

 

It’s the perfect full-size model car. I’m pretty sure I built this as a kid back when no one was around to tell me how I couldn’t build what I wanted.
Anyone that doesn’t like it is welcome to go buy their own early Corvette, and do something safe and obvious like a set of American five spokes and Bigs and Littles.

 

I thought it was just the beginning, the step before being panel painted.

 

I don't know why you would call people that don't agree with what YOU do to YOUR car "haters"! Opinions are like assholes... everybody's got one. You posted pictures of yours; I stated mine. Are contrary opinions not allowed anymore?

Well, did not know it but I guess I am a "hater". Thought that forums were for sharing thoughts/ideas/opinions but I guess not. This comes from the same person who threatened physical violence on another "Corvette" thread on the HAMB if you called his car a C1. The NCRS thing is like the preverbal wives tale, I know a few of these folks who are not at all like the stigmatism some on here want to attach to them.

However, I also believe that the car is his to modify to his vision and taste but when you don't agree no one should be called a "Hater".

 

I don’t remember Mark asking for opinions on it, would you walk up to someone at a show and tell them you don’t like their car? While No one has to like it, you sure don’t need to go out of your way to say you don’t like it….

Sure seems to me there is a lot of "hate" expressed by certain members regarding different styles, equipment and other petty items. If hearing a perceived negative comment about a car upsets someone, they have issues.
Life is tuff, when you sweat the small stuff.

 

I guess people who thrive on only making negative comments strike me as having issues.
