    I thought my O.T. M-B 300SL roadster would be easier than in-and-out of a '27T roadster.
It's a 4-member move, right foot in, then turn, plant butt; Now, duck! Slowly roll to right. but shoulders are still scraping the quarter windows and roadster top...Pull left leg in, but lift high. The 'slip-in' Skechers are lumpy, and left foot has to be 'worked-in'.
Ahhh, relief! Except that the custom German bolsters are narrow, and I'm 'not quite down'...
    Can I belt up now?

I've noticed lately that when I get into a sporty car, I tend to use my hand to lift my left leg up and in. I guess this new car will be a challenge, as well, when I finally have it done to where I get to sit in it.

Gonna need a 9” when you put the 427 out of Plan II in it….:D:D:D

If I figure out how to put that blown 427 in it, then it'll probably get the entire drivetrain, minus the overdrive. But that's a ways off still.....

There's no doubt in my mind that you'll figure it out. Weather you want to or not, is a different story... ;):D

Getting the engine in is no problem, it's getting the rest of the car to work with it to do what I want, that's the issue.

Like I said... If there's only one person here that could make it work, it's you. You seem to have a knack for that kind of thing... ;):)

The people have spoken and GM got the message that they messed with the wrong car. That’s all for now.

@lumpy 63 were you at the Nomad meet at Lions museum concerning said vehicle?

I thought so. To be brief, key speaker that day was one of the main guys in the past responsible on “X” and mentioned the GM boo boo in as few words possible.

Blows my mind that they would do all that modern "upgrade" crap to a car that was at its best in Hollywood nights. Even worse, it hurts my soul that there are people among us that thought it was cool. If you don't wanna drive an old car, buy a new car. There's a difference

pretty much the philosophy of the HAMB, right there!

My Vette will be an old car while I own it. It might or might not be a fast old car, we'll see what happens.

Tinkering more today. Got the glovebox lid on and it latches and opens like it's supposed to. Big accomplishment, for me.

Brakes are working now. Although I still need to find a front parking brake cable, it was cut or it broke, most likely cut as most of the wires, cables, tubes, etc were cut off instead of being removed. Clutch pedal is in, and I fixed the wear on the pin where it attaches to the rod. But I still don't have any of the rest of the linkage.

I put the car back on the ground.

I bought a gas tank, but it doesn't fit right, so I'm returning it, and ordered another brand, which rumor has it is more likely to fit.

I'm probably going to start on wiring the car soon, as I have some of the wiring harness for it. And see if I can get the headlights installed, that'll probably take me a full day, the way these things go.

As long as you can hammer that clutch when you need to...
