Poor little car was moved with a fork lift a few times and the valence panels showed it. Started uncrumpling. Should be able to save the fronts from both sides.
It's looking like I have just bought this 23 roadster body, the price was right, it'll end up on either an A chassis or a T ala Greg Stokes "Fireball T" nothing else to add.
Fatigue is like rust, ominous and never quits. Sold all my chassis junk prior to leaving Cali, met some good folks search for a wishbone. Shop exterior done, gas line and heater up next..
The Zipper has a new home after 24 years. Ordered a new long block from Bert's for the '29 CCPU that is my new avatar. 6-1/2" cab extension, T-5 and Jeep seats make it fun to drive.
Not much news - been busy with life, and getting sorted for our annual holiday. I did manage to pick up a Flathead Ted brake kit, and hope to get it fitted after or break.
Pay attention when fitting the kit, you may have to grind the teds roller track to clear the bottom of the brake shoe on the fronts if You didn’t get the deluxe kit for the rears the rear brakes might hang backing up, no worries, once going forward it releases Make sure the front adjuster pins slide freely and are greased Teds instructions are vague, and certain aspects of the fit up are critical.once you have them dialed in they are great..
Slanted louvers look fine. I'll dig around and add the photos of the one I had. It is in a fine home in the Lang collection.
I appreciate your advice. By all accounts they work exceptionally well. I spoke with a guy out here who, on Ted's advice, fitted them to the front of his B roadster, got used to them, and THEN fitted the rear one's. Something to consider
http://www.ocmafc.com/techarticles/BrakeFloaters-2.pdf Orange County model a club did a good article on them..I did a 50/50 adjustment bias on mine, they work well
Keep an eye out for this coupester that was stolen from a shop here in Orangevale just a couple days ago…
Checking in - windows in ,roof complete ignition circuit wiring done -cars running and steering now , possibly get to drop it in gear mid week and drive it !!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH HECK .
