  2. It was ugly as sin, especially compared to his coupe and truck, but would love to own it if it still existed

    Hey KAK.
I shot that photograph of that cool Dodge COE, at the Portland swap meet a few years ago!
I thought it was a pretty cool rig!

Well it was vintage, no billet on the wheels, and it was unique, but as you will find from time to time, images get deleted with out any explanation, so no big deal ! ☺️

  10. It would seem that just about every whacky Euro car made at least a few were sold in the U.S.A.

Back when funny cars still had humour to them. Brilliant.

This is the strangest car I have ever owned. I bought it in Elkhart, IN in a small garage. It was being sold by an elderly lady whose late husband had built it over a period of years. He was an auto body instructor at a local career center. It my mind it was kind of like the Johnny Cash song "One piece at a time". It had parts from Buick, Lincoln, Studebaker, etc. It ran and drove when I got it. It was supposedly on a Willys chassis and had a Studebaker V-8 with 3 speed trans. This picture was taken at the Kruse Auction in Auburn, Indiana. That is me and my son Brian in the background. Brian is 42 now! I sold it at the car corral in Auburn to a guy who was a student in the builder's auto body class. He still has the car in his showroom at his business in Elkhart, IN.

From my family archives IMG_0088.jpeg IMG_2638.jpeg IMG_2636.jpeg IMG_2639.jpeg the cars in the first were built by my uncle in the Philippines early 60’s.

  19. All I can say about these cars is: “just because you can- doesn’t mean you should “…
    Fun to look at though…

  22. Ken Austin's Model T coupe at Scappoose, Oregon. Ken usually ran a flathead V-8 in the car, but here he is running a Ford 6. The car was chopped and channeled so low that it was waist high.

I'd take about 14" off the back of that turd bird. It's close. Just too long in the ass.

  24. How about Junior Brogdon's Phony Pony? He sometimes ran a single injected 289, sometimes two 289's, and sometimes a blown 289. I'd really like to recreate this someday...
