    hello,Can someone tell me how big a job it is to check anti raddle first / reverse ( clunk spring ) u joints tight, rear end tight , trans was rebuilt has shift kit , clunking from drive to reverse , mike

    One of the first parts you put in the case when you****emble a transmission, is that spring.....does that tell you something?

  4. If the anti-clunk spring has been missing or loose for a while, the lugs on the case for the center support are probably eaten away. You might be able to save it it with a Case Saver...Google it . Easy to find.

    yeah, I wasn't going to mention that just yet, but that's usually what happens, when it clunks it's because the case is worn out. But it might be something else.
