Hey guys I’m in need of a set of 365 cadillac main bearings 010 for my rebuild, if anyone has a set they can part with please let me know.
    Thanks, Joe

  3. Joe, have you looked at CaddyDaddy on the web?

Yes I did check with them also but they don’t have any available. Thanks

  5. maybe Dave up at Daves Machine would know. He is up in Fitchburg, does a bunch of older engines.

  6. If you can't find .010 look for .020 and have the Crank ground to the bearings you can get.

Yes, I found a set of main bearings thanks to a guy in California that reached out to me on Instagram. He had an extra set he had purchased a few years ago and did not need.

This intake came with a set of hexagon linkage that I really didn’t care for. So I found some small stainless turnbuckles and cut them up to size. Once the length was figured out I just welded some stainless nuts in the center to finish them out.

Also have been picking away at some interior details, fitting the carpet and trying to figure out how I want the tunnel upholstery to look.

Once the engine is home there will be some big steps forward towards the finish line.

  11. Joe where did the support bar come from for the carbs?

My dad will need a similar linkage built soon. What is the purpose of the slots around the carb throttle shafts?

it looks like the bar attaches over the throttle shaft boss on the driver side carbs with a screw through the bar downward. the slot would allow it deform and to grip the boss.

Its a clean design that I will probably steal for my linkage.

I’m not sure who made it but it’s done very well, it has small needle bearings on the back side for the two cross over shafts

That’s correct, whoever made it sure thought it through before starting.

My buddy James came over and helped me get the engine in and do a quick mock-up outside

There’s a pile of work still before it can hit the road but hopefully it will happen before winter arrives.

You nailed the paint color. It looks perfect for the period.

I did get the car driving right before cold weather hit. Unfortunately it was problem after problem with the engine and transmission. It’s a long story that I’ll spare the details.
I just got the heads and block back from the machine shop and am putting it together with a bunch of new parts.
Transmission was also gone through and a couple things needed to be addressed.
So I’m hopeful that I can put this stuff back together and just be able to enjoy the car when the warm weather gets here. F4ED9474-FAF1-452C-AA33-47B66DC4D888.jpeg
