Family friend Jack Miller (1973 Fonda speedway late model champion) was inducted into the Fonda Hall of Fame Saturday.
My dad and the whole 1973 crew attended, my dad jokingly asked "Why does everyone look so old?"

I'm a bit of a wheel nerd so these front wheels caught my eye.
This is Britains first dragster, very early 60's, the Chrysler 354 powered dragster of Sydney Allard.
I've yet to identify the wheels but I recall similar ones on early ?Lola? track cars.
They are solid, no windows, anyone know who made them?

They look very much like Lotus race car wheels from 59 to 61 with he six lug nuts/bolts.

Mickey Thompson...... Many years ago when some of my buddies and I went to southern California, we were at Dean Moon's shop ,and he asked us if we were going to mickey Thompson's garage sale. Wow! We asked directions and away we went. We bought a lot of stuff at reasonable prices. Mickey had 2 of those little dragsters there. He also had 2 huge shipping crates full of Halibrand wheels with tires on them. We were interested in the wheels, but Mickey placed more value on the tires, so we couldn't get together on price. I got to see Mickey's dyno room, it was impressive. Somewhere I have a picture of Mickey and I together.
