    Must have been 1962, Tommy's "Barnstormer" in bare metal. Anyone notice all of the white cars in the background ?

    Larry’s second wife was my babysitter.
    I’m at my moms for a 4th of July BBQ and just showed her the picture and she said that that isn’t Larry.

    Jim, we were sand racing back in the 70's, and I knew Larry was the first to bring a Dragster out on the sand, and when I saw the 4 port Bugcatcher, that he ran on his early cars, just thought it might have been him. My brother Jerry was the first to set sub-3 second national records in T/F and FC.

    Marty, you and I have met in the past and shared a mutual friend in Bob Stewart.

    The sand drags were born in my hometown with Larry and my family was in the middle of the local action. I was just a baby but was dragged through it too. We are still friends with Larry and the sand drags are still a yearly occurrence here.
