As I stated in an earlier post I can’t attend in person ( sorry, but it ain’t in the budget) . My only advice @Lloyd's paint & glass would be to put a pig in the ground and the beer on cause all your rowdy friends are coming over that night.

 

Did I tell you that Ethan is planning on coming with me?
I don’t know if we are going to try to drive the wagon or bring the OT truck and a bunch of stuff to sell.

 

I need a size 62 extra fat!! (4xl) and a xl for Truckdoctor Wife.

Yep. If Sherry and/or James don't want to come I might ride a scoot down. I don't know how far it is but I rode 800 miles the last two days and I've done an Iron Butt ride (1,000 miles in 24 hours). I think I can make it in one piece. That being said, though, two wheeling it is NOT the first option. Clarence should be back on the road by then so that's the ride of choice.

 

We never know what ethans gonna be doing man lol... Darren needs to bring his ass too!

 

My town is the equivalent of Mayberry lol, there's no jail though, Otis gets transported to the next county over lol

While you were typing I was editing my post. YES; Clarence should be in attendance. Y'all are going to be SO sick of me and Clarence soon. I'll be driving it and talking about it for months to come.

 

Not at all! That's what it's all about! I drive the hell out of my pseudo gasser piece of shit because it brings me happiness climb up on top of Clarence and scream it to the world brother! Long time coming

 

I'd love to drive my old franken-delivery but I don't think I can have it ready in time to make that long of a trip. I've got no glass in it, holes in the floors in places, and havent been any further than 1/2 mile up and down the private road I live on. Still might try to make it though, depending on the employment situation at the time. It just wont be in the Sedan Delivery. Right now, still looking for a job which sucks ass!

 

Man you're in the wrong part of the world! Move to Mt Sterling Ky, places are begging for people to work! Cooper standard that makes automotive hoses is advertising $24.33 hr to start, and can't get people!

 

Oh there are lots of jobs posted, but I have a sort of specialized skill set and have had a couple of interviews, just wasn't the right fit. My place is paid for and I have no interest in moving anywhere. Something will come up. I think the unemployment thing is just a way to tell me to use up all the parts and paint I have been stockpiling over the past few years so I can possibly make it to Lloydfest if I just get off my ass and work on the car non-stop. I have to spend a few hours daily searching for jobs though!

 

I gotcha man, I thought you was saying the job market there was shit lol... there's a guy that stands at the 113 off ramp every day, with a sign that says will work for food. Within eye shot distance of where he stands, cabinetworks factory has a huge banner out that says open interviews, $500 sign on bonus. I always look at him and point towards the factory lmao!

 

I already told my wife that we may stop by your place and take the last leg with you! If the offer still stands at the time.

 

I was going to comment on the "will work for food" thing, but no one knows what another man's story is, so I will just keep my mouth shut and be thankful I have more than I need even being unemployed. But I worked hard all my life just in case something like this happened........I'll be getting exhaust on the Sedan Delivery this week....and hopefully a front end alignment. Oh and...looking for some lightweight thin cardboard to get some patterns made for some glass for the car.

 

Oh yeah, I know what you mean. But this guy is well known. By all of us at the firehouse and the cops. He can work.

 

But yeah get me those patterns and I'll order glass. I'd say $200 in glass plus shipping to you will put new winders in that ride

All I had to say to my wife was, "Hey, do you want to go to Kentucky in Oct?" She said "Sure, what is going on there then?" "This bunch of HAMBers are getting together for a party Oct 6th -8th." was my reply, as I showed her the thread about Lloydfest. "We don't have to stay where that party is all that time, and we don't have to sleep there, do we?" she asked. "Well, you know, we will see how the party goes." I told her. "I'll book a room near by." was her response.

We have a room booked about 30 miles away, well, it may be a bit farther since the party location may be moving to the drag strip. We have gas and hotel money saved up, and the truck has proven itself road worthy. Going to be a pretty major event to change that now.

You can Gene, I'll just keep it in my conversations. The drag strip is just off exit 123 of I64. The drag strip runs beside of the interstate, so it's actually closer than my house. Which isn't far away, in the event we need a welder or something more than can be fixed at the track.

I'll hang around the drag strip and shoot some bull, but I'm not racing. Too far to drag a broken truck home, and I'm not much of a drag racer anyway.
Maybe I should throw my "portable shade tree" (dining canopy) into the truck and bring it along to the track to share its shade with a few friends.

We will be staying at the Blue Licks Battlefield State Park. We have stayed there before.

 

Oh yes, I imagine it's gonna look like a homeless tent city lol.
