She said, "Same to ya." :D

"Hello, Steve, from all the way up here in the middle of the thumb of the mitten of Michigan USA." :)

    Thanks, @choptop40

We have a half dozen of the spotted dogs LOL. The DNR knows and stops by once a year. Everything's good.

DB steering wheels are very much like that, have 7/8 hole and two 1/4 keys.

Thanks, Oliver. I appreciate that. I woulda been stoked, too. I was excited for a minute. And then kind of pissed off for a couple days LOL. But I'm grateful to have my little erector set roadster project. And besides... at least one of my good buddies here (you) has a badass Dodge Coupe and I get to enjoy watching as you build it up.

And, I'm havin' fun buying more parts with the money I didn't spend on that coupe. :)

    I understand.

Round tuits are sometimes not real easy to find. Seems like there used to be more of them.

I've got a nice one - somewhere. Didn't want to lose it,put in a safe place back-when(you know: someday I'll *need* that thing) now I can't find it.

    Hey Danny. @HOTRODPRIMER
Not a whole lot recently cuz of the foot surgery. But I'm back on my feet. Bought this long ram intake the other day. Figured I'd use it on the Chrysler. But I honestly don't know for sure if I'll be able to do both projects, so who knows. Regardless, I'm hoping to have fun experimenting with my different induction systems on one or the other or both projects.
I threw my Holley carburetors and stacks on there just to see.

    1923/'24/'25 Model T fuel tank.
I do believe I got me an NOS tank. Or it was on a car for a very short time. Surface rust, but it's 100 years old. No dents... at all. And I can't really smell that there was ever fuel in it. And the cap. A fuel cap like that would have been dropped innumerable times. But this one doesn't have a single tiny ding. The threads are perfect. I see no marks on the mounting brackets from attachment bolts.

Fa la la la la la la la la... :)

The only thing that tells me that it might have been used is the one fitting on the outlet. Looks to me like a galvanized plumbing fitting to me.
    Anybody know if that's original?

I was wondering why there was a pipe fitting in the body of a muffler...o_O:D

It looks very similar to this one on eBay, but that extra fitting isn't present: https://www.ebay.com/itm/145426442481

Thanks, Mr Pink. I don't see that fitting on any others I can find. My tank must have been used.
In fact, I gave 'er another whiff. I think I can smell the slightest hint of old fuel. But it's clean as a whistle inside.
Fits my Model T Turtle deck like it was made for it.

These came up for a comparably reasonable price so I snagged 'em.

    1912 Cadillac cowl lamps.
I think they could make for some beautiful and unique headlights. Or maybe fog lights. Amber with the brass would look nice. Or it might look stupid LOL. Might be better to stick with the original clear lenses. We'll see.
In any case, I'm having fun.

You go back far enough... into the brass era... you realize that some of the headlights were HUGE.
But the cowl lamps were just BIG.
    These are 7"dia.

Those rock. I've been looking for a set like that for my car! I keep finding singles but I'm reluctant to buy just one. Great score!

    Thanks buddy.
    I'll do some sniffin' around.
Funny thing, I just saw a rough '38 pickup for sale on FB somewhere here in Michigan. Didn't look at it, but I thought of you. I'll go look.

    You hear that, guys?

I gotta start saying "headlamps" instead of "headlights".

  30. Time to start mocking up all the parts and see what shakes out! HRP
