Hello, Sometimes in the heat of the eliminations or just trying to get the fastest speed or lowest E.T. anxiety comes into play at the starting line. Both hands on the steering wheel, foot on the gas and clutch, leaves what to hold the brake lever? Some drive with one hand until the green light comes into play. It happens more than we know. But, for most, full acceleration requires both hands to keep the power going straight… yikes! Jnaki I filmed the time trial run of the Carlsbad Dragmaster Team in the Summer of 1959 at Lion’s Dragstrip. The actual, original sound came from the same team in September of 1959 at the Detroit U.S. Nationals. Digital editing does wonders for original silent drag racing films.
