You know, that Chevelle is out of place in that picture. I can help with that, and take it off your hands

    Hello,

When my wife and I went shopping a long time ago, we always see old hot rods and custom cars. She knows I like to see old cars and take photos of them. But, she also sees the hot rods, sometimes way before I see them. A yellow old Ford convertible across the whole parking lot stood out like a sore thumb among the grays, blacks and white cars in the lot. Some blue, but rare.

This time as I drove into the lot, I scan for empty spaces we can use. But, while I am doing that as a single minded direction, she already sees an old, bright yellow, hot rod convertible sitting under the only large shade tree in the area. The sun has already moved somewhat and the convertible is peaking out in the “warmth of the sun…”

For a couple of old folks out for a drive and run some errands, it was a nice surprise. There are quite a few hot rods and custom cars in coastal areas of Southern So Cal. So, we are always on the lookout for those that are out and about. Despite the pandemic lock down and caution, there were still some souls cruising around. This time, it was pure top down cruising and perhaps taking a break for a re-supply at the local stores.
