    I bought this corvair van at the mpls police impound auction back in the mid 80’s for 40 bucks. When I got it home and found it had a seized engine I junked it

    This car has been in the yard as long as I have been going there ( mid 70’s) and had a full blue metal flake paint job on it.     this one is pretty close, I worked there on saturdays for about 20 years in exchange for parts most of the time. 12 miles from me, as a matter of fact I rode my bicycle there today....

    Maybe you should re-think the possibilities and re-purchase it. You should be able to build a radical custom out of it. Something like a chopped, sectioned van with a 455 and, lest we forget, bias ply tires ;).

    I learned to drive in a '66 Skylark and based on the fake louver behind the front wheel I'm going with '66 not '65. But as usual I could be wrong so lets go with "hope it is a 65":cool:
