Years ago an older gentleman I know was running a progressive linkage on his flathead on a regular duel intake and it ran great. I bought the same linkage and am running edelbrock 94 carbs one primary and on secondary. The car has never run right so I was going to switch back to two primary carbs. I looked at edelbrock web site and didn’t see that they have the carbs, looked at speedway, summit and Jegs and nothing. Any body familiar with these carbs? I was wondering if I can just switch the base with an old Ford 94?

Do you know what the differences in your primary and secondary carb are ?
    - Power valves, or blocked power valves, different throttle plates ?

is it possible that they are actually the same internally ?

If not, is it possible that you can just change the secondary to match the primary ?

I think they stopped making them around 2017/8 ish......which was around the time when they disappeared from their website.

Generally, as a starting point, - for a flathead,

3.5 , maybe 4.5 power valve to both carbs, 51 jets, throttle plates to secondary carbs are often changed and probably not much else.
Just pull them off and check ( and write it down for next time )……..
Change to fixed linkage and balance carbs.
    Then comes the fine tuning……..…:)

Heard they stopped making them cause there were so many complaints about them working together properly

  7. There several reproduction 94 type carburetors available on that bidding site. They all seem to be the same as the Edelbrock type. They all seem to come from China.
