Got my latest issue in February, isn't it time for another? Anyone receive a new issue?

It was initially slated for quarterly publication, I think that was about 25 years ago. Even before the difficulties Steve went through it was already sporadic. Like Sister Mary Elephant taught us in 3rd grade in Catholic School- patience is a virtue.

Did she have a wooden ruler and was not afraid to use it?

Graduates of her class have permanently deformed knuckles!

  7. I didn't go to Catholic school, but after non-Catholic school I went to Saint. Michaels school for religious instructions. I think that all of the Nuns were taught the use of a ruler ]across the knuckles. The worst rulers were the ones with the metal edge.

18Jul2023, I finally got an answer from the customer service at Rodders Journal. They do show me as a subscriber and they will re-send issue #85 since I did not receive my copy. No word on publish date for 86 but it is supposed to have a tribute to Pat Ganahl. About time someone did that.

Well actually she had a leather strap. However... one time my buddy Jim and myself were sent down to the principal’s office when another teacher discovered that we had put chewing gum on the girl’s desk seats with straight pins sticking up out of them. I guess they were not impressed.

Anyway the nun was pissed and verbally let into us but what I remember was, “ It’s a good thing that I grew up with both of your mothers or you’d be getting STRAPPED right now!!!”.

It was only grade seven but I knew what diplomatic immunity was and used it to my advantage!

Well, sadly, you've contributed to the demise. And you missed some (a few) good issues.

One post in 6 years and this is it? You should print it out and frame it. Maybe your subscription expired?

Glad you're keeping track of me. Havent had much to say. Two ears and one mouth....

Bought a 2 year sub as a gift for my Dad, he got two issues out of it. Very frustrating sending half a dozen emails over the years to this company and not getting a response to any while seeing others get their issues a year ago.

I love the magazine, and can appreciate the challenges after the covid BS, but many businesses have recovered by now.
I'll be glad when they get back to being a quarterly and I can back to my lifetime subscription.
A little communication would go a LONG way, Mr. Coonan......

Just finished reading through issue 32 that I got from relatives of a friend of mine who passed away a couple of years ago. What an outstanding publication. I sure hope they can get it going again. I did receive issue 85 many months ago. I had a subscription but when things went dead I told Pay Pal and got my money back. I would be happy to subscribe again but will wait to see it on the newsstand first.

It's not the responsibility of the consumer to hold up a failing company. If the company management sees their subscription numbers declining for whatever reason, it's their responsibility to take action if they want the magazine to survive.

Dropping your subscription to a magazine that you see going downhill is the smart choice.

I'm not sitting at my mailbox waiting for the next issue, if we get it so be it. The nun's that taught us had their yardsticks and pointers made by Louisville Slugger Baseball Bat Co.
