I listen to Sirius radio, mostly channel 63; K-Love but I do also go to the 50s, 60s and Classic Vinyl channels. I have a set of Kenwood speakers with 15"woofers hooked up to my stereo so I can drown out the other stuff if I want to. The speakers are probably 50 years old but they still put out some great sound.
I was a sixteen year old hoodlum when that double album set came out... But man.. Them were some fun times...
I was 18 again! LOL I listen to most all music in my shop, with the exception of opera. I like most everything except opera. Rockabilly, be-bop, bluegrass, country, jazz, rock, I pretty much like it all except opera.
Ok, I didn't always not like it, once I tried to like it when I met an opera singer in college, I was studying music. After I realize how square she was, and that our date was going nowhere, it only proved to me how much I didn't like it. I never looked back after that experience...
Was she fat and did she wear a Viking helmet with horns? Opera always sounds like someone getting tasered!
No, she was pretty cute, but when she sang it was like scratching a blackboard. Now I will be forever picturing her in my head with a Viking helmet on her head, thanks for that image! LOL To keep on topic, today it's "Whiskey Before Breakfast" Gonna follow it up with Lowell George!
I love listening to Eva Cassidy and every song she had sung before she was called back to haven. She had one of the Greatest Voices I every heard and her timing was impeccable. If you start listening to her music it is truly timeless and very special. Her voice was a gift from God for sure. Jimbo
