Gonna need to widen the rear end and shorten the wheelbase

    Slowly taking shape!
Lace paint MIGHT be in it's future..
I got the shifter mounted, oil in the block and the brakes bled. Now I just need to add methanol and see what she sounds like.

Installed a new fuel cut off cable and added some gas. It definitely sounds like it's tuned for alcohol, I'll pick up a 5 gallon tomorrow.

Can't wait to hear it on alcohol!
I love how the drivers head (your head) is perfectly framed by the rear window.
I don't know it that was by design or just happenstance, but very cool.

Not something you hear every day, lol. All in a g***er builders day, said so casually as if you're stopping to grab a sixer on the way home!

Yes it definitely is, it sounds great. This was your quickest build so far and should be lost of fun on the track.

Been busy cleaning up a few things to make it more reliable, new gas pedal, roll bar, reattached the shifter.
I was originally going to have a fabric half roof but if there is a kaboom in the engine at 140mph, that car would light up light a roman candle. I may install a steel partial roof instead.
It moved today, before I realized there wasn't much trans fluid in the car. i wonder why reverse didn't;t work.

How about a plexi gl*** roof insert? Please tell us about the front wheels shown mocked up. Very unusual looking!

I don't know if I am going to run them or not because I like the look of 19" wheels and these are 17".
I think these wheels came from a company called Hollywood Wheel, I have never seen them before and can't find anything on line, they are magnesium. I originally thought that they were motorcycle wheels. I bought a pair of vintage motorcycle wheels that I am going to try first.

Those wheels look like a Halibrand wheel for a Cobra but designed for a yard cart.

There have been a few drag racing wheels made in Australia show up here over the years, maybe one of our fellow Aussie HAMB'rs could I.D. them.

    6"

I haven't solid mounted the spring yet but it seems like the right look. I originally wanted 98" but now that seems too short!

Looks like you dropped the frame down in the front making the lower rails closer to being parallel to the ground. That is a big improvement in your overall look!
