modified collector plates are on the radar. Trucks been out a few times now and the wrinkles are working themselves out nicely
Was going to drive down to Lethbridge for the Street Wheelers show and shine, but decided to do something a little different. Went to a small town event in the foothills instead. Great people and had a great time. Way to go Longview.
Guess I should post a pic from the event. Here’s one the wifey snapped. And I guess with the rocket racing solids on it is a different look for the Tudor. .
...We were graced at our local Cruise with this Custom Merc...it apparently was built by a Peter Clancy and bought by the Bill Sherk way back and has only recently been put back to road duty by I believe the fella that purchased it from him...I did some snooping on it and it has had a Hotrod past as well...just going reach out and ask if any of you out there might have an exhaust tip matching the last colour pic the owners in an exhaustive search for one...pm me if you do...I couldn't even find anything online... https://www.pressreader.com/canada/the-expositor-brantford/20090326/282076272792565 Update...I'm not sure which Merc of the Bill Sherk showed up that day as he apparently had another and it may have been this one... https://www.pressreader.com/canada/the-hamilton-spectator/20160128/282368333668239 Dunno I got the info second hand but regardless it was nice to see it...
I did not know Bill had Passed.... he was a very nice man and I remember him years ago actively on the hunt for this car.
Jeff I was sure I read he had passed but I have searched for info on that and I can't find any so I will retract any information I posted regarding that till I find confirmation.
Whole new batch of Canadian content over at the Jalopy Jamup 2023 thread. Bill Sherk lives somewhere in my hometown, I will keep an eye out for him.
Thanks Daylate...that was watered down info with my watered down ears...again I wish I had asked the owner when I was chatting with him...I remember that 36 you shared well...
... Hamber @Candy-Man's Missus's Merc, another local friends Fleetline and a local Hotrod snuck in making for a nice triple whammy Sunday at a local show in Perth On...it was a good day... The Merc was detailed with many musical connections to her being an accomplished pianist...
Um uncapped exhaust is illegal and unsafe... It might let the fun out and lord knows the world doesn't want us to have fun anymore... Great lookin cars for sure!
Assuming you're talking about Kamloops Hotnite. I have found the show has gone the wrong direction more and more from what I like at least. A ton of "new" muscle cars and exotics along with an "electric avenue" area which I am sure you can figure out. Some local cars that are fine but in all I find I roll down first thing in the morning walk around for about 20 minutes as I am walking past the majority of the cars and I stop and chat with a few friends and other than that... big waste of time. I literally took one pic this year of this 57 that is a low mileage one owner car. Has the upholstery wrap still on it. Otherwise, nada! Maybe I've turned into a car snob or after attending events like Deuce Days this local yocal stuff is just not my cup of tea!
Wow...that quite a change in clothes Warren...looks ready for El Mirage circa 1940...Sorry I missed you all this year...wasn't in the cards......but pics are good...I must do some snooping...
...a few from the Smiths Falls and Carleton Place cruises...the Beige Merc and Riv were at a Lombardy On. Show/Swap
...these are a few pics from the Merrickville, Ontario Show / Swap...it was well attended...the 3 Model A's were Hamber owned... It was a great day...
...A cruise friends pride and joy, it shows...he's had it for quite some time and really likes his engines fast...
Happy Canadian Thanks Giving boys and girls. Hope everyone gets their fill of turkey and pie!!! This hot rod looks familiar but I can't quite put my finger on it... Eh @Stogy
Just sitting here going through the HAMB after I put the bird in to roast... going to be a fine meal! I consider Thanks Giving Day as my personal day of thanks (Fortunateson) and Remembrance Day as our National day of thanks. We are a very fortunate country and we should be thankful for it! Now s gets knocked down for being to “political” does anyone remember the post I did a few years back about putting some colour on “the Bird”? Some got a little pissed off when the “Bird” was revealed as a turkey and not a T-Bird! LOL
Thanks for the reply although I just saw it. Good to know about that show. I’ve wanted to go for a few years but know I won’t bother. Too far a drive for what I can see in any parking lot!
Actually we’re not referring to Canadian people as being Canadian bacon We’re referring to their cars. So unless that’s a Canadian model car or a car owned by Canadians then it’s disqualified. Just because it has Canadian passengers doesn’t qualify it for consideration here
Thanks Fitness...I had a quite a fill of Hamb, and other seasonal table goodies followed by a pretty extensive bout of Hamb for dessert...all good... Yes for the Canadian flank of the Hamb that celebrate...have a peaceful double serving of Hamb...
