That looks like the Banker Brothers ‘32 Fordor. IIRC @Dean Lowe had a connection to it, his dad owned it at one point.

I’ve seen plenty of photos of Larry Teter’s Victoria before, but that’s the first time I’ve seen that hood scoop.

    Hello,
A colorized photo of a moment in time at Lion's Dragstrip. There is no grass in the pits in any way other than weeds growing along the fences. The Altered Coupe is nice, and perhaps the color is pale yellow, but the background just makes the photo not real.

We spent many hours at those pits for several years. The original photo should stay black and white.

    Hello,

The mistake is simple. The first photo is of Gene Adams and his record setting two door, Oldsmobile sedan. The second photo is Bones Balogh and his 4 door 1949 Chevy sedan. Bones Balogh was running his 1949 Chevy sedan in D/Gas at the time.

Both racers have a long history in drag racing in So Cal. Bones Balogh had other race cars before the Willys coupes, the Corvette sports car classes, Altereds and Modified Roadsters.

  26. One car is a two door, the other is a 4 door. One car is an Oldsmobile, the other car is a Chevrolet.

Screenshot_20230803_165302_Chrome.jpg One of the only fenderless post34 hotrods that actually works. Always loved it. I believe it was powered by an inliner. Wasn't this car "rediscovered" semi recently.
