Features Corvette hot rods - picture thread

Scott, I saw this car on FB and it made me wonder. Not sure if I know of a 68 National Champion 1961 Vette in MP. Possible I suppose and would hope it is a legitimate champion so we have another preserved. Note the similarities to Lombardo's 61 hardtop stripes and lettering and the same goes for the lettering on the doors. We know it is not Buckshot since that still exists. Do you know anything about the car?

 

i know nothing about it, a buddy sent the pic from Louisville.

 

The owner of this car is the guy that painted my corvette.

 

A couple hundred pages or so ago we all agreed that every Corvette is a hot rod right?

This one just came up on FB Marketplace for $20K & I'm thinking...holy crap. Then I read it's a replica. Still, a glass replica of a glass car is a different twist to a glass replica of a metal car. It actually looks pretty decent (350/350), in very good running condition, but there's no side views or explanation of the chassis it's on. It's a strange world.

 

This look's an awful lot like Oswego Dragway... Anyone know for sure?
