    Checking in,
I'm glad to hear someone has tried that and it works, I was loosely looking for anybody who had tried that before.

Well, checking in my first month without a banger....
Here was her last days with me, she got chopped for the guy who bought her.

The replacement was a bucket list car... But I am missing the banger already.

Thanks. It's an ongoing project. Trying to keep it running as much as I can and enjoy it as I go.

Started by completely rewiring it and making it work, new tyres, fix up the suspension and brakes enough to be able to drive and enjoy it. Now rebuilding the banger for a bit more pep after an oil pump failure. Have another complete frame and a 331 hemi that might eventually make its way underneath, but I want to enjoy it through different stages first - and will likely end up doing a different body on this frame if I go that route anyway. It's my first banger, but I'm working it out and researching as I go, and enjoying it a lot.

Looks great, now go drive it. Be sure to get some video of the rubber smoke cloud off those rear tires.

    Your admirers await, haha.

Yeah, I have a good goal for the next A banger. OHV and into the 130 hp area and a quick change rear to have the best of both worlds, the 3.27 gears were nice for freeway but light to light I want some fun sometimes. Thankfully I got a good learning curve out of the way on the coupe.

Sounds like a plan. I bought a Burtz, Ill try to exceed 100 horse myself coming up here. 3.78 and a 26% Mitchell gives me both, freeway or light to light.

Here they are side by side when I first got them. I probably would have gone for a bigger difference with hindsight, but I like the little bit of rubber rake while I'm still using the original wheels for now.

I need a pair of 450-18's. Do you know if the supplier of your tyres sells 18inch versions?

No idea... I bought them from Stuckey Tyre Service. I know I spoke to Antique Tyres too.

Have a look at Blockleys, reasonably priced & sticky. Block pattern. Think they are the old Dunlop style
    Stucky's sell them
