  1. So this past weekend we had our ‘64 Chrysler convertible and ‘57 Fargo at a small local show at a local pioneer museum. Today my wife came across these pictures on Facebook of the event, she has reached out to the woman responsible. Credit to Drew photography in Fairview Alberta. IMG_9612.jpeg IMG_9611.jpeg

I wouldn't know if I should be proud that someone took the time and effort to capture and post the pic's, or if I should be looking over my shoulder for a stalker... Fuck it... I'll take the noteriety and fame, and be happy when I get stabbed by a stalker... LOL!!! :D:p:cool: That's one way to get famous!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

  3. I really dig your Fargo! Are they mechanical similar to our Dodge Trucks? I’m guessing a flathead six was standard, what does your Fargo have?

  5. Identical to Dodges, Fargos were for export, yes a Flat six was standard, mine has a mild 360, 727, 8 3/4” Somewhere around here there is a build thread on it.

I've found pictures of my car online that were taken by others. I thought I had saved copies but I can't find them right now.
I also once found someone selling refrigerator magnets on eBay with pictures of old cars on them; one of the magnets had a picture of my car that I had taken. I sent them a cease and desist email but they never replied.

One of my favorites. A friend took it coming back from frog follies. 240897278_4586983691347914_4864690485112533267_n.jpg

  9. Last month, a bunch of us brought our cars to one of the local nursing homes, sort of to provide an opportunity for the residents to get out, and see a car show. Picture was taken by local media photographer, and used for upbeat article. He asked permission to post it, after he took it. No problem with me, and I met someone new again, that day. _DSC9809.jpg

Found this on the web quite a few years ago. The photographer was quite talented.

  13. The woman that took the pictures of mine told my wife she has taken pictures of my car over the years, said it’s one of her favorite local cars, nice compliment.

I'm sure we all have pics of cars from shows over the years. Makes me wonder if I should or should not post them online. I don't know who owned the car or evn what show some of them are from, I can guess in a several year range by what stack they're in. :D

People post pics of cars and trucks on here daily and they don’t know the owners. Car shows, cruises, etc. There is a huge thread of rusty cars sitting. If it wasn’t for the pictures this place would be boring.

The scary one is when you cruise all the car / truck For Sale websites and see your car / truck in your garage for sale by someone else……

  17. @Bandit Billy, well I guess I met a few people that night; not sure if she's married, I meant the photographer, though. A contract/hobby guy, but he is retired police chief, and we knew some of the same people-good ones, not work related.

  18. Sorry, but I'll post again. A friend and HAMB'r, @hotrodharry2, saw these on line of my car, a few years back. I had to figure out where they were taken, but wasn't from me. Never found original picture taker, for sure a stranger. 20160713_194904.jpg 20160713_194852.jpg

A friend saw my '30 parked in downtown Belfast, ME when we were on our way home from the Northeast Vintage Drags and took this pic.

Neat idea. I've taken plenty of photos of my own stuff over the years but it's always cool to see your car from someone else's point of view.

This is our former '39 Ford coupe. The photo showed up on a web page - maybe Goodguys? -a few years ago.

And these showed up right here on the HAMB. Event coverage thread, photos taken by @Moriarity

Not a stranger, but my neighbor the late Pat Ganahl liked sneaking photos of my car.

He'd see me across the street from his house at the park, or see the car in my driveway, and he would sometimes compulsively take photos of it.

He often told me how important he felt it was for hot rodders to get somebody else to drive their cars so they could observe them from afar and get a better appreciation of what everybody else sees. He said he loved watching me approach his house from the park, and turn onto our street, telling me what a "bad ass" angle that was for this car.

Here's two photos he took, one is a driveway shot taken long before the car was "finished" :) and running. This photo ended up as a post on his Instagram account. The park photo with my son appeared the last article he wrote about my (very humble) coupe build. He also took the photo I use as my Avatar.

  24. This picture of my '56 was taken at a local cruise night last year, I stumbled across it on the net a while later. I like the picture so I've kept it on my computer... 92.jpg

Unless you never take your car out of the garage people are going to see it and some will take photos. Nothing you can do about it. Same goes for blanking out license numbers and in newer cars even the VIN. They're in plain sight any time the car is out of the garage.

    BTW....great photo alchemy!

  27. Somebody sent this to me a while back here on the HAMB, it's my (dad's) coupe at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in 82-83. Midwest Street Rod Nats I think, before the event moved to Springfield.

  29. I don’t think I’ve seen pictures that other people have taken of my cars, but one appeared in a write up about me in our local car club newsletter…
The T bird shot was taken when I was pulling up to unload my equipment for a “bluegrass” band gig. My two boys are in the car with me… A330DC2B-121D-4338-A287-0F10162DFCCB.jpeg 0CB8ECAF-7334-4B26-ADA4-1C2367F1F319.jpeg
