I received the kit for 5 speed conversion. Doing some prep work and preparing myself to start on the swap.
Is this for open driveline then? Shoot a picture of the numbers on the tag if you don't already know the gear ratios I can look them up
Neat! Looks much better w/o the stone guard. Heads up on the cheapie plastic fuel filter; they've been known to split, leak fuel and start a fire.
I have been busy. Took rear end out and converted rear end for the open drive line. Struggled with the pinion but finally got it out. Also installed 2" lower leaf spring. Ready to put rear end back in and start on engine and tranny. I got a new burtz eninge and going to install with the T5.
Pebble Tec is just a brand of exposed aggregate finish used for pools. This type of finish on a driveway is called exposed aggregate and it holds up pretty well from what I've seen (even in our harsh climate).
Been busy. I put the new spring in but nothing but problem. I couldn't get the wheels centered then when i did car would lean to the driver side. I put old spring back in and everything lined up. Pics of progress. Tranny is in and really happy with the end results. I like the sound of straight cut gears but this is so smooth and sporty. Still have few things to finish put its back together and was worth the work.
Are the new springs equal in length & shape from center bolt to Eye? How do they compare to the original springs in shape & size?
Been getting after it. New Burtz engine in. What job getting between the motor mounts. Getting the bugs worked out and running great and with the 5 speed really fun. Found vintage 8 ball shifter. I drove to work today! The rear spring I ordered was not made right and still waiting for it.
