Another taken when leaving another local show. It showed up on Facebook and someone forwarded to me. '39 Deluxe coupe Fastino's 2.png

This one's fun. My car taken by a local photographer who put it on his page. Then stolen from that page by an "entrepreneur" and made into posters to sell on internet. Very clever!

There are pictures of both my coupe and my truck posted all over the internet. Many by me, some by people that have asked permission, and probably even more by people that I've never met. I've see many of them, and I have been told about many I have not seen.

I get people passing by me on 4 lane roads slowing down and taking pictures of my stuff as we are driving down the road, and I can't count how many times I've seen people take pictures as we drive by.

I've seen some of my build pictures posted on Pinterest, probably lifted from a built thread on one of several sites.

Really, how many of us have been to shows someplace and taken a picture of a vehicle we thought was cool when there was no one around to ask permission to do so? The reality is, when you enter a car show, you give them permission to use the image of your ride for any and all uses promotional purposes they choose.

I figure people are taking pictures on my stuff either because they really like it, or they want to show someone how this fool ruined what could have been a great car or truck. Either way, I think its pretty cool.

If a picture has been posted on the net, its game to be used for about anything, good or bad, but I suspect its mostly good.

I use up enough of my computer space just keeping the pictures I take of my stuff, I don't need to add pictures someone else took (well, OK maybe a couple). 100_1002.JPG 20221028_125209.jpg

I can’t believe that people would want to even take a photo of the old fordor, so feel quite chuffed when I see someone else’s photo of it on the internet…….
    ( 2 photos in 18 years is still a compliment in my book……… ).

First one was taken when we were on our way to the second TROG show, at Wildwood, NJ. I got sent a link to his page on the event, and got the picture there.
Second one, I went to my first Asbury Park Cruise night, and this appeared on the Facebook page for the cruise. Taken by "Fury Jim". Lots of pro Photographers show up there every week. Trog_1.jpg Asbury_1.jpg

A picture of "Rusty" my '39 p/u at a 4th of July car show showed up on the net several years ago. The idea for the name Rusty Truck Orchard is based on Rusty Truck Brewing in Lincoln City Oregon. carshowrusty.jpg rustytruck brewing.jpg

  25. My old Touring ended up in a couple coffee table books. I found out after @rusty rocket spotted it at Borders Books. I helped round up cars for an event during the Sturgis rally for a couple years and a freelancer shot it there.

I took the cabriolet out a few weeks ago on the time honored tradition of cruisin' the avenue on Saturday night. Someone snapped this photo and posted it on their Facebook page. It is now one of my favorite photos of my car. And riding shotgun is the infamous Poverty Flats who has been MIA on the HAMB for awhile now. His girlfriend is riding in the rumble seat. They were passing through Iowa on their way to Michigan.
