Interesting to see the slide injectors. Those were primarily a road race deal, does anyone know who produced them for the Gurney-Weslake heads?

 

We had a 3 Gurney-Weslake powered cars in my area, all slide port injectors, a Cobra, Dragster and a Maverick. The engine out of the Maverick ended up in a sand dragster, and had a Boss 302 block. Good runners all !

 

I see a Hilborn pump but I thought those slide injectors were by Lucas, and were timed injection. Do you think the Lucas hardware was eliminated and Hilborn constant flow stuff subs***uted?

 

I remember Van Cleaves' digger, but don't recall the Maverick, who ran it.
