Great collection of Timing Association plaques. I had a good friend who was a member of the Wheelers back in the late 30's and have a photo of the plaque he had on his roadster on my website ...

That is unusual & great detail. How big is it?

About the same length as a license plate, but not quite as tall. I'd call it 1/4 scale to a real flathead head, or close.
A few members of our car club are/were Dukes members, and one still is. They all said they still have these plaques, and said originally they were as cast, with no head bolts or spark plugs. But each member dressed them up to their own taste, so this one got lots of attention.

    Darn sure did!
What was amazing to me was a guy had it in his hands and showed it to his buddy, and said, "Isn't this cool?"
I thought, crap I'm too late by seconds. Then he laid it down to walk away and I almost knocked him down trying to grab it before he could change his mind, or before somebody else grabbed it!

I try and collect them when I see one cheap enough.I just dig the history around the club itself.

I'm still looking for a "PLUGS" plaque from Canyon, Texas. It was a club my big brother and his friends started in the mid 50s. There were likely only a dozen or so. I have a fuzzy picture of on on Ray (Ace) Mills's Dodge somewhere. Srvrtal of the guys open the rest of their lives ib that area. Any help finding one would be appreciated. I'd like to have a few copies made.

  27. I mean a webpage where you can design plaques. A name crossed my mind, and I thought it'd be fun to design one online. This is an unrelated example:

Damn, these plaque collections are just killer. My cousin, in California, snagged this one at a garage sale and sent it to me.....2 bucks.:)
