Anyone with a 55/56 Chevy be able to give me a quick measurement?
I bought a 57 steering column apparently and the top mounting point is different compared to a 55/56.
I am thinking of drilling a hole to locate the factory tab for the 55 mount.
would anyone be able to get me a general reference point so I can get the column in a close to stock location? It can be from steering wheel mount surface to hole, or chrome bezel, or wherever. I just would like to get approximately close to stock location.

If no one crimes in, I’ll be going out and measure after father in-law feeding and care.

For now (forgot I had this in the garage off the kitchen). I have a bare tube out back as well if needed. ACAC7468-4112-44A6-8488-589BD95A6587.jpeg 3DFF51FF-9291-4D9F-8179-256EEE158541.jpeg
