That's a solid possibility! Unfortunately the building is blurred out on Google Maps but that's pretty close to where I got the sign from.
Picked up these two items at the swap on the weekend. I think the one might be an ashtray, but not sure how they would empty it. It does have - patent applied for- stamped on it. The other piece of Ford 8 trim has a late thirties to forties look to it, but it would be nice to know what it is from.
Update on above- figured out how to take the ashtray apart, should look about right in my model A, the stainless piece is from a 46 ford glovebox door - will look good anywhere.
The only cool thing I found worth buying at Symco this year, a pair of NOS speaker covers. Nothing ruins a period build faster than modern speakers added to the package tray with plastic covers over the top. This was an extra good score since it's a matching pair. Not sure what I'll use them in but the price was right.
Believe what you got there is a "Tenna" brand 8 track unit. Surprisingly heavy things, especially compared to later model car audio. Still have one somewhere that I used for years with one of those slide-out mounts that bolted under your dash. They weren't exactly cheap but sounded pretty good. They were also one of the few models with that fine tuning adjustment that would eliminate cross-track bleed over from misalignment between the tape and the tape head. Every 8 track player should have had that feature!
^True words there. The thing that got me ticked off was the ''fade out'' and restart of a song when it was too long to fit on track 3 for example, then continue on track 4. Usually the best song on the tape.
Need a couple clues, maybe start with how big and besides Burnham and Texas what else does it say on them?

My neighbor buddy "found" his old hit & miss in the back of his garage. Getting it cleaned up to sell it soon I think. Its a 1916 Fairbanks model Z 15hp, water tank cooled. Thought some of yall might like to see it. Its bigger than the pic appears. Id say 8' long 6' tall & almost all cast iron.

Going through some stuff I have packed away I came across this. Forgot where I got it. Kind of a weird prize for a service station. Pretty heavy, I’m guessing it’s pewter.
I found this galvanized metal barn at a thrift store and decided to paint it red with green roof sections Next I will paint the window frames and bar n doors off white.
