I have a 52 331 caddy motor I’m converting to stick shift. I found an early Weber olds cad aluminum flywheel. I have read some motors took a neutral balanced flywheel and other took a balanced flywheel. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what one I would need and if the flywheel pictured here is neutral or balanced? Thanks!!

You need a neutral balanced wheel. Count the teeth on the ring gear, if 147, most likely neutral.

I thought the early ones were 145 tooth?

I think you’re right on the 145 tooth. So if this one is 145 tooth it will be neutral balanced and be what I need? Thank you.

    145 is correct.
